More Halloween Fun!

Here's a video of my FHE group carving pumpkins...And another one of people eating the pumpkins...but don't worry, I was the smart one!

Happy Halloween from Rexburg

Here's my FHE family (minus Kim and the four other girls...they had to leave early). We had so much fun carving pumpkins. We're planning on roasting the seeds once we figure out how to do that properly. Thanks for letting me take home the giant pumpkin! It make a lovely "H" for FHE. Picture 1: Me carving...look at that form! Dad would be so proud! Picture 2: Our beautiful pumpkin carving skills Picture 3: My amazing FHE group. Back row left to right is Casey, Neil, and Peter. Front row left to right is Jenna, Me, Kendra, and Stephen.

A Delayed Hello from Ohio

Greetings one and everyone! I'm so so so SO sorry that it's taken me so long to email. I'm glad that you got my letter in the mail...I'm sorry I wasn't able to email--we held transfers that day and didn't get a chance to make it to the library for the internet. I arrived at the SLC airport and was able to call many of you but wasn't able to catch everyone. Our flight was on a little Canadair jet for Skywest and we flew straight to Cleveland. Well, straight's a relative word, because it was so turbulent-y that I ended up puking. Yep, that's right. Good thing I'd stuck an entire change of clothing in my carry on so I could change my shirt before I met President Peterson. Ugh, I'm embarrassed to tell the story but man, it was so funny. I felt very humbled when I met President, because I had all these plans of looking and presenting myself as my best self but my stomach and Heavenly Father had other ideas. We had a great dinner at the Mission hom

Happy Halloween - Pre-school style!

Yes - it was fabulous! We all love pre-school. Blake and I loved the time together and Ethan had a great first day! The Preschool teacher is Mrs. Neal and she is SO sweet! We started with a great breakfast (Mom-I want hot chocolate and candy, No, You can have bannanas and cold cereal), then in our Thomas the train costume. At school we did many fun things, including Halloween Bingo and made spider cookies.

Like it or hate it, this is my app essay for BYU. nothin special, just thought we'd give you a laugh. As the great woman Eleanor Roosevelt once told me, “Do one thing every day that scares you.” Okay, so realistically this quote originated many years before my birth, but since first stumbling upon it, this phrase has become my motto for life. And throughout the years, I have racked up some pretty scary experiences. However, these experiences have also been times of great learning and growth for me. I am a secretary at heart—I love taking notes, making handouts, and not having to speak in front of large groups. But when National Honor Society elections came junior year, I decided to branch out—and scare myself. Being elected President of NHS has forced me to step out of my box; not only have I become comfortable speaking before large audiences, I am also better at being a more flexible and cooperative leader. Watching my older sister participate in Junior Miss, I knew that I wanted

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

The Romney's at their best! We helped throw a big Halloween party for our ward and enjoyed the festivities. Nicole had never had the thrill of eating a donut on a string! We dressed up as crazy cougar fans and lost the costume competition to a guy dressed as Mr. T (seen below), and a pregnant lady with a skeleton costume complete with a baby skeleton.

a birthday report

Image
Last Thursday, on the 25th of October, Nicole C. Romney was found celebrating her birth which occured over a quarter of a century before. Surely it was a historic event. Members of the paparrazzi were able to snap these photos of the new 26-year-old. Her romantic, exceptional and altogether fabulous husband, Jake Romney, was also present at the celebration. The two were rumored to have gone to dinner at Macaroni Grill following the joyous opening of cards and gifts. One reporter was able to interview her briefly after the evening. She said "I would like to thank my parents, sisters, in-laws, grandparents, aunts/uncles for all they've done to make this event possible. I'd also like to thank my husband who has been my support through all of this." Ok, for reals, thank you to everyone who was so thoughtful and kind! For all the calls and cards and gifts:) I love you all so much. Love, Nicole

Ranch

So what's left of our family went to dinner on Saturday to celebrate...us! And guess where we went- Chili's! No but wait, there's more! Becca and I decided to share a meal, so instead of the usual burger and fries, we found this delish-us plate of chicken tenders--honey chipotle barbecue chicken! Oh my, chipotle! But wait-there's still more! Instead of getting corn (ew gross, stuck in your teeth-and I had the play to go to afterward) we decided to share a salad...so I was just going to get ranch dressing on it, but then Becca asked what kind they had. And the cute waitress starts naming them off- Italian, Thousand Island, Bleu cheese, etc, and she said Guacamole Ranch. And then she said that they basically have any kind of ranch there is. So I JUMPED at that- and asked if they had chipotle ranch-----WHICH THEY DID! It was absolutely amazing. I dipped the fries in it, and the salad, and drank it straight, okay not that. But oh my goodness, I just had to tell th

Dearest family, Thanks so much for sending those things up with Josh. I've already taken a picture with my new camera, which came just in time because my old one is doing silly things with the battery. Thank you so much for sending Corbin's letter to me. It was really sweet and he says to tell all of you that he loves you. And of course thank you SO MUCH for the snow boots. It's been raining on and off all day today, and pretty soon the rain will turn into snow. And thanks for recording High School Musical 2! I'm so excited to watch it...again. Well, I'm going to bed because it's late, very late. I love you all and miss you so much. I'm planning on coming over next weekend with Stayc, Anna, and Anne to go to Josh's farewell. I'm so excited to see all of you!!!!!! Love, Lex My first missionary letter from Elder Corbin Jacobs (aka CP). That's my hand after we played around with latex and tissue in my makeup class. I'm getting older by the week! And creepier.

Update from Lex in Rex

Hello Family, I just wanted to give everyone a little summary of what I've been up to lately. This past week has been pretty busy. In my Fit 4 Life class, I had to take two tests, do cardio work outs three days a week for a half hour, and lift for 45 minutes. That's taken up a lot of my time, but I'm glad that it motivates me to be in shape because Kim keeps making delicious chocolate chip cookies. I have really enjoyed my math class because we're learning about saving, investing, and loans. It's helped me become a more responsible spender and motivated me to be a better saver. I'm actually understanding the graphing calculator! I have also enjoyed my American Heritage class because we're learning about the ideas behind the history of our nation, more of the why instead of the what. I have this HUGE test over the Constitution on Tuesday and I've only completed one of the study guides. I spent practically all of Saturday (11-5) doing homework for that cl

Dear Lexi, guess who you got a letter from---IN THE MAIL?!?! My guess would be to look at the title of this post :)

Letter from Sister Cannariato

Hello family! Being the brillant missionary I am, I wrote down everyone's addresses but not their email addresses. So sorry this is getting forwarded to all of you from Dad's account. If you'd email me at this address then I can write you back and it'll be a happy day :) Also, this email is going to be a novel because you're the only ones I can write on email and there's so much to say to fill you in. Plus I don't have everyone's emails memorized/with me. But normally I'd love to write you individually so then it'll feel like I'm talking with you. My email address is stephcan@myldsmail.net. You can email me at this account address at any time but I only have 30 minutes on the computer per week, so some responses may come more slowly through the mail. But I would love to hear from all of you to find out how things are going! Things here at the MTC have been fantastic. I've been able to spend so much time immersed in the gospel and I love i

NOT ELIZA! BUT SHE GOT 2ND RUNNER UP! CONGRATULATIONS ELIZA!

What college has done to me...

All work and no play makes Lexi middle-aged (and a bit scary). I don't think you'll have to worry about me dating any return missionaries. But I might have to watch out if I ever walk past a retirement center... I LOVE my stage make-up class! Lex in Rex
