Cannariato~Almond Adventures

Hot air ballooning was SO MUCH FUN! It was the perfect day for it- apparently there was a temperature inversion, so it was 23 degrees on the ground, and 38 in the sky where we were- at 2500 feet! We went up and drifted around, had trouble finding a place to land because the winds weren't taking us back to where we started like the guy had hoped, so we ran the basket into some trees for a bit, but then floated down to a field. We had gone with the guy and his little 7ish year old daughter, so when we landed, there was another girl there (I think his sister in law) who hadn't ever been before (it's like a whole family affair- it was so fun!) so we got to go back up with her and fly some more! Then we helped put away the ballooon- which was GIGANTIC. After that we had to be initiated because we were first time flyers. Last Thursday, Brother Gabrielsen came over and extended a release to Dawn. After serving faithfully for 4 1/2 years, she is no longer the Wolf Den Leader. So she is now FREE to SKI on Wednesdays. Her new calling is teaching the six year olds in primary. She was a VERY good Den Leader and will be a great Primary Teacher too.

This weekend was super fun! I went skiing on Saturday at Kelly Canyon with my roommates Melissa and Natalie, and my FHE brothers Dave and Seth. For Sunday dinner I made spaghetti and we ate it without plates or utensils. It was amazing! My roommates and I had a sleepover party last night and pulled our mattresses out in the front room. Now I just need to buckle down and get some homework done... Dave and Natalie excited to go! Lexi came down to visit P-town this past weekend and Aunt Chris threw me a baby shower. Unfortunately, the camera ran out of batteries so we only got a couple pics of Lexi and me frosting sugar cookies and the baby shower. Enjoy!
