Our 8th anniversary, etc...

Image
Today is possibly the day I've been looking forward to least out of all the days in Blake's life. That's right, he crawled out of his crib during nap time! AHHH! Ok, I'm going to die, but oh well. He's still supposed to be taking those 3-4 hour naps, right??? If I have any more kids, you can just shoot me, oh wait, that's already happening. If I'm a zombie for the next 6-69 years, you'll all understand why. Yesterday was Nate and my 8th anniversary. We took a lunch cruise on the Portland Spirit along the Willamette River. It was really fun. We took lots of pics of the amazing houses on the river. I thought you all might be interested in the architecture and the FOR SALE sign on one. DAD? DAWN? :) It was also Ethan's 1st day of his 2 week swim lessons. He was moved up a class, which I hope will challenge him to (sort of) swim by himself. He had a whale pancake for breakfast. Ethan was recently invited to a FUN pirate b-day party! Blake and Ethan

Summer Fun!

Here are pictures of some things I've done this summer. We went backpacking to Shirts Lake and that was really really fun. As a family we went to the Twin Falls open house and to the Shoshone Falls. Then this past Saturday I went to the open house again with some friends (Anne, Kyle, Eric, and me!)

my new obsession!

Let the Games Begin

The Olympics are finally here! As I've gotten older, for some reason, I love the Olympics more and more. Jake and I have been quite excited to watch the Beijing Olympics. We got invited to an Olympic Party on Friday night to watch opening ceremonies, which, if anyone didn't seem them, were AMAZING!!!!! We dressed up "chinese style" - I wore the robe that gma betty gave to me - it's probably japanese though - and wore my hair up in chopsticks. Jake work clothes that were all made in China:) We ate egg rolls and orange chicken, fried rice and fortune cookies. Our neighbors who invited us had decorated their apartment with chinese lanterns and flags from various nations. It was a blast! I highly recommend everyone watch the exciting competitions:) GO USA!
