NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLAR IN THE FAMILY!

It is with great pleasure that we announce that Eliza Rae Almond has been selected as a National Merit Scholar Finalist. Over 1.4 million students apply, 50,000 high scorers qualify for recognition, and in February 15,000 are notified that they are finalists.

Eliza is one of 5 seniors at Centennial to be so recognized. Her future roommate Hannah Quist and her buddy, Nathan Madsen, are also in the select group.

Wow, Eliza, Boise Valley Jr. Miss, State Jr. Miss 2nd Runner-up and National Merit Scholar. What will you want next, the "Monson" Scholarship? We love you.

You are pwetty much absolutely amazing. I am honored no! humbled to know you. Eliza practically-perfect-in-every-way Rae Almond is a very appropriate name. Mary Poppins must be a not so distant relative...

Poor Becca has to give a talk tonight in the "Reject Ward", meaning those kids who work during the day. I was looking up mormon jokes for her to open her talk with. These are so bad, but, yet so funny. Hope they lighten up your day. Also, here's a photo of my weekend project up in McCall. I never want to paint again. A man in the ward goes to see his bishop and says, "Bishop, something terrible is happening and I have to talk to you about it." The bishop asks, "What's wrong?" The man replies, "My wife is poisoning me." The bishop, a bit surprised, asks, "How can that be?" The brother then pleads, "I'm telling you - I'm certain she's poisoning me. What should I do?"
