YMCA Christmas Run

This morning Alexis, Rebecca, Ethan, and Dad participated in the annual YMCA Christmas Run.  Dad placed 2nd in his age category, 55 going on awesome, and the rest of us just had fun.

Kauai Trip

In July of this year we spent 5 days with 47 of our favorite teenagers trekking as pioneers across the plains of Wyoming. It was the culmination of a year of preparation for all of us. This Kauai trip was our reward for surviving that experience. Actually, it was a marvelous and very spiritual, but exhausting experience. Kauai, on the other hand, was supremely relaxing but super fun. Some of my favorite things were the wild chickens roaming the island, the feral cats, the gorgeous sunrises on the beach, making new friends, enjoying the beautiful scenery, and generally just enjoying spending time with each other.
