What a great garden we have had this year. Look at the size of the watermelons and sunflower. Our carrots were also fabulous - remember the three intertwined ones? We plan on eating one of these melons on Sunday. YUMMY!

Oh my goodness Dad those are some healthy looking watermelons! Congrats on such a wonderful garden- how did the corn do? Do I get to eat some ever? I sure hope so! In other news, it has officially snowed in Provo. Didn't stick (thankgoodness because we have a football game today!) But it has moved out of fall area, and into definitely almost winter. Love you all and I love the updates on the blog! Happy Travellings (:

Those look amazing! I wish I was home to try some. How did the rest of the garden do? And how did you get the fenced watermelon out?
It has also officially snowed in Rexburg (twice actually) but it didn't stick either. I am wearing my homemade scarf!

We had Grandma Betty's birthday here tonight, and I just thought I'd give you all a little taste of how the evening went. Here is one interesting conversation of note: Grandma: "Giraffes make rotten mothers" *pause as we all examined the philosophical meaning of this remark* Dad: "Well have you ever tried to raise a teenage giraffe?" Becca: "I have" Anyways, that about sums the evening up. There were lots of great presents (you guessed it-most of them bought by the birthday girl herself) and a FABULOUS chocolate cake (made by yours truly!--hence the FABULOUSness of it!) and just an overall great night of fun and games. Ranch

So what's left of our family went to dinner on Saturday to celebrate...us! And guess where we went- Chili's! No but wait, there's more! Becca and I decided to share a meal, so instead of the usual burger and fries, we found this delish-us plate of chicken tenders--honey chipotle barbecue chicken! Oh my, chipotle! But wait-there's still more! Instead of getting corn (ew gross, stuck in your teeth-and I had the play to go to afterward) we decided to share a salad...so I was just going to get ranch dressing on it, but then Becca asked what kind they had. And the cute waitress starts naming them off- Italian, Thousand Island, Bleu cheese, etc, and she said Guacamole Ranch. And then she said that they basically have any kind of ranch there is. So I JUMPED at that- and asked if they had chipotle ranch-----WHICH THEY DID! It was absolutely amazing. I dipped the fries in it, and the salad, and drank it straight, okay not that.
